We are a brand strategy consulting and design firm focused on driving business growth through a disciplined process of defining, re-inventing and strengthening the spirit of great brands.

It might seem strange to call yourself a demon. As far back as most people remember, a demon was something to be avoided at all costs, but that’s not where the word started.

The ancient Greeks used it to mean “replete with knowledge.” Their demons were believed to be good spirits who would infuse chosen people with great wisdom and courage.

Everybody loved demons until somewhere around the 4th century B.C.E. when the creatures fell from grace. Over centuries, through the power of great story-telling, from pulpits to campfires, novels to Hollywood blockbusters, demons captured the imagination of generations with a fear that was irresistible.

Today, a demon is something very different. It describes someone with fiery passion, a supernatural work ethic, and wicked focus, possessed with the drive to achieve a goal. It’s a word that sums up our approach to every project we undertake and we’re proud to call ourselves BrandDemon.

Colleen Devorris

With over 30 years of experience working on both the client and agency side of brand building, as well as a degree in copywriting from The Newhouse School at Syracuse University and an MBA from Cornell, Colleen is our experienced and knowledgeable leader. As one of the sharpest marketing minds in the area, she founded BrandDemon to help good brands become great brands.

A fierce believer in the team process, she loves finding and developing young talent, including storytellers, graphic designers, photographers, web developers, digital media experts, data analysts, strategy leaders, account executives, and others. She looks for people with fire in their eyes, determination in their DNA, and bright shining positivity, who can work together to deliver greatness.

For Colleen, the biggest benefit of the job is getting to work with the clients, amazing entrepreneurs and business leaders, whose visions inspire the creation and re-invention of brands that matter.
