Brand Manager Summary

As BrandDemon’s Brand Manager, you will serve as the client’s voice when developing and executing branding strategies, marketing plans and advertising campaigns. You will work to ensure the efforts of various team members (graphic designers, web designers, creative directors, SM specialists, copywriters, etc.) and components (research, print, web, broadcast, social, etc.) align with the client’s goals. You will be responsible for helping to develop new client relationships and growing existing ones.

Account Executive Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for your assigned projects and accounts, while contributing as a team member within a highly collaborative group. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a liaison between the client, the BrandDemon team and outside suppliers and, as appropriate, other internal and external audiences
  • Develop an understanding of the client’s business environment and strategy
  • Playing a key role in developing a client’s strategic plan, which may include brand/consumer/competitive/industry research and creating strategy presentations
  • Leading the execution of the plan, which may include focus groups, press releases, media relations, brochures, videos, websites, social media, tv, radio, billboard, event planning and more
  • Define project objectives, set key performance metrics, and establish project approach
  • Identifying and engaging the necessary resources to complete each project
  • Keeping BrandDemon team appropriately informed of and involved in projects
  • Planning and leading client meetings and daily communications
  • Identifying opportunities to grow each account, by proposing new initiatives to advance the client’s objectives
  • Independently handling several projects, performing much of the day-to-day work with support of both junior and senior team members, as appropriate
  • For each assigned client, monitoring social media platforms, competitive and industry activities and trends
  • Preparing project proposals with cost estimates, ensuring that the client understands how they will be billed, creating project change of scope addendums as needed
  • Tracking actual vs estimated time spent on projects, and communicating issues early
  • Protecting the bottom line of both the agency and the client, by looking for the most cost-effective solutions
  • Completing Brand Manager assigned projects while balancing other responsibilities within the team

Job Position: Freelance Marketing Copywriter

BrandDemon is seeking an experienced copywriter to write smart, engaging and on-brand copy for various clients across various mediums including print – such as brochures, billboards, signs, and digital properties – such as landing pages, infographics, blogs, social media posts and ads. You will work closely with the Account Managers to craft catchy copy that is relevant and valuable to consumers. To develop a deep understanding of the target audience’s attitudes and motivations, you will conduct research that supports topics with a credible point-of-view.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with internal account managers to understand brand voice and messaging
  • Write clear, compelling copy with a distinct voice for various mediums (e.g. press releases, blog posts, website copy, print materials, etc.)
  • Create concepts and write headline copy that breakthroughs and grabs attention
  • Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders
  • Edit and proofread with a detailed eye
  • Conduct high-quality research and interviews
  • Create rough drafts or concepts under time constraints
  • See the world through different consumer types and connect those dots back to the brand
  • Write content for the purpose of lead generation and website conversion
  • Write and help create all types of social media content (blogs, ads, posts)
  • Apply SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach

Skills / Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 experience as a copywriter or related role. Agency experience is a plus.
